Achievements

ACHIEVEMENT IN THE FIELD OF SPORTS AND ALL PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Our hard work and valuable contribution of our board members under the leadership, supervision and guidance of Shihan Janak Subedi have produced fruitful and distinguish results in the field of Olympic sports in our country. Despite hazardous condition and adverse environment in one of the developing country like Nepal, we have contribute to set the example in the field of Olympic sports and physical activities. Clearly our work have motivated and encouraged all other association forcing government as well to appreciate and admire our work. Which is very rare in Nepal due to deficit budget, poor economy and low level of interest of leader towards sports? Some of our achievements and activities are as follows:

Janak Subedi participated and won Bronze Medal (60 kg weight category) and became 4th in free-weight category in 29th Annual International Championship, Akron Ohio in USA

June 19 – 24, 2003
Nepalese Karate players (Janak Subedi, Gopal Bahadur Shahi and Pushkar Raj Pant) participated in the 4th World Karate Championships organized by WKC (in Russia, St. Pitersburg) representing the nation as well as Nepal Kwanmukan Karate Do, Association. W.K.C. Licesse holder Mr. Saroj Bhattarai was selected for the world karate championships referee committee after written examination conducted by W.K.C. World Karate Referee Council in St. Pettersburg, Russia and become the World Referee for the first time in nepalese Karate history.

June 21 – 25, 2001
Participated in 3rd WKC World Championship, Scotland, It was a competition of 33 countries of the world. Janak Subedi obtained forth position and achieved Diploma certificate from W.K.C.

Organized the 1st Kathmandu Valley Championship (supported by District Development Committee, Kathmandu) in Chovar, Kathmandu.

The performance of Nepalese players in this competition was highly appreciated. More than 60 referees participated in the seminar from the different countries and three Nepalese Karate Referees Saroj Bhattarai, Purendra Lakhe and Dilendra Govind Vaidya got license from W.K.C. for best performance.

November 9 – 11, 2002
3rd Open International Championships, Valencia, Spain.
It was a competition of 21 countries organized by World Karate Federation and Federation of Spanish Unified Martial Arts. Janak Subedi of NKMKA represented Nepal and won the Silver Medal.

October 5 – 7, 2002
Janak Subedi represented as Referee in 3rd WKC World Cup Children’s and Juniors Championships, Novasad, Yugoslavia.

September 13 -15, 2002
Janak Subedi represented Nepal in USA Karate Federation 28th Annual International Championships, Akron Ohio, USA. It was a competition among 57 countries. Subedi won the Bronze Medal and achieved 3rd Dan (Shandan).
